DISCUSS: Nintendo Compatible Routers

Some owners of the Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS have difficulty connecting their devices to the Internet due to an incompatibility with their home router's network firewall. In the worst case, folks need to disable the router firewall. Fortunately, though, there is at least one other alternative, at least for the Wii. Do you know of any other workarounds?
