If you're an iPhone owner early awaiting the day when you can hook up the phone to your laptop for cellular Internet access, there's no news to report here. Judging by recent coverage from Macworld, the Wall Street Journal and others, AT&T still has no specific timetable for when iPhone tethering will be allowed on their network. Apparently most consumers out there don't need tethering too badly: iPhone remains hugely popular and continues to sell well.
