Will Your Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter Work on a Computer?Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter

Wednesday March 12, 2008
| FAQ | People occasionally ask me about removing the Wi-Fi network adapter from their Xbox 360 to use it in an ordinary computer. If you are using the official Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter, this simply won't work. You cannot use Microsoft's 360 adapter on your computer for the same reason that ordinary USB adapters don't work on the Xbox - the needed device driver support is lacking.

If you are using a generic USB wireless game adapter or Ethernet-to-wireless bridge (like I do), then of course you can swap the adapter between your Xbox and computer with no problem.

ou are on CRACK HE HAS NO CLUE AS TO WHAT HE IS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When it comes to NT(windows) drivers you may not be able to find a specific driver fo the adapter but that does not mean that one does not exist that will work!!!!
If you are running linux you are in luck :) find out first what chipset the adapter uses and get the latest linux source code for that chipset :) compile install MAGIC!
