U.S. High-speed Internet Growth Continues, Slows

| Commentary | According to the latest survey results from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), adoption of home broadband and other high-speed Internet service in the United States increased by 18% in the first half of 2003. The rate of growth is slower than 2002, when comparable high-speed Internet subscriptions grew by more than 50%. Based on the survey, approximately 13.7 million homes in the USA use cable modem, and only 7.7 million homes use DSL.
