Connection stopped working one day

I'm in an apartment complex and do not have access to the router that my Xbox has been connected to. I was using it fine last night, and now when I turn on my Xbox it shows the network I'm trying to connect to but it does not connect to the router. My PC also will not connect but for some reason my iPod connects just fine...

No connect after Spring update of Live

I updated my Xbox for the new spring update and everything goes fine. But the next and every time after that, I turn on my Xbox and it will no longer connect to my home WiFi network. Xbox customer service couldn't really help me and I still don't know what to do.

Insufficient MTU setting for Live

I've tried connecting to Live, but it repeatedly says i have an insufficient MTU setting, and that it needs to be 1364 or greater. I logged onto my router, and it was set at 1500 already. Confused! I set it to 1364 and still no luck. I am using the Halo Reach Edition xbox with built in Wifi and a NetGear wireless router.

Can't access Live from original Xbox (?)

In my house we have 2 Xbox's - one is mine and one is my brother's. My brother connected to xbox live last week with the new Xbox and i am connecting to Live with the old Xbox today and for some reason will not let me connect. I have been through everything it has said on the Xbox support website but none of this seems to work. [Ed.: Note that Microsoft has discontinued XBox Live for the original Xbox consoles.]

Is it just my MLB 2k11 game?

Every single time without fail when I try to play my buddy in this game with the Brewers vs. the Cardinals (franchise mode) I get the network connection error message as soon as the ball is struck for the first time in that game. Also get it from time to time when I play other teams, like Houston. Frustrating, very frustrating. Not sure if there is a way around it or if it is my Internet service that stinks.

New Xbox taking down the router?

We just bought a new 250 GB Xbox 360. Every time I try to connect, it shut my lights off on my modem and does not go online. My router is Netgear. I can't use my computers when the Xbox is on. Even when my hubby not online, it still shuts off the modem and the rest of its lights are on. Plus it keeps saying something about a key password.

Can't obtain an IP address

I live in an apartment complex, and I don't have an Ethernet port... everything is wireless here. I don't have access to the router [to change its settings]. Anyway, my computer connects to the Wi-Fi just fine, but my Xbox keeps saying it can't obtain an IP address.

Blame it on Microsoft

The just had to make us unable to install drivers.

Red 'X' on LAN link

Doesn't connect to the (local) network - always has an 'X' between the first one and the network.
