Cisco VPN Client System Requirements:
Client must run one of the following operating systems:
- Windows 98 or newer Microsoft Windows
- Mac OS X
- Linux
- Solaris Unix
VPN Servers Supported:
The Cisco VPN client is compatible with the following VPN servers from Cisco:
- Cisco VPN 3000 Series Concentrator Software 3.0 and later
- Cisco IOS Software 12.2(8)T and later
- Cisco PIX Firewall Software 6.0 and later
VPN Tunneling Protocols Supported:
PPTP, L2TP, L2TP/IPsec and several other forms of IPsec related to ESP, NAT, UDP and TCP.
Client Restrictions:
- incompatible with VPN clients from other vendors
- incompatible with many personal firewalls. Firewalls may need to be specially configured, or turned off, when running the Cisco VPN client
- incompatible with Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS
- incompatible with AOL 7.0 and AOL 8.0
