Xpedio Product Review (Part 1)

The Xpedio™ product line consists of Xpedio Content Server™ and two add-on components -- Xpedio Content Publisher™ and Xpedio ReportSite™. Together, these components promise a powerful end-to-end content management framework. We will discuss the individual components in more detail later, but first we need to introduce the basic concepts and design goals behind Xpedio.

Background

IntraNet Solutions -- based in Eden Prairie, MN -- has offered the Intra.doc!® product suite for document management applications since 1997. The company succeeded in leveraging Intra.doc! technology to create Xpedio and released this new product line for general availability in the fourth quarter of 1999. Founded in 1990, IntraNet Solutions currently employs approximately 110 people and serves more than 600 customers.

Xpedio might seem expensive to a casual observer. But those familiar with the difficult problems of content management and the cost of Intranets generally will probably not balk at Xpedio pricing.
