Definition: Diet Kazaa is an add-on program for the free version of Kazaa Media Desktop (KMD). When downloaded, installed and run in place of KMD, Diet Kazaa removes or disables unwanted ads and spyware.
Diet Kazaa also contains other features that improve the performance and usability of Kazaa clients. For example, it includes a download accelerator, enhanced search, and button shortcuts.
Diet Kazaa supports the latest versions of Kazaa Media Desktop. Download and install instructions for Diet Kazaa are available via the DietK Web site. In general, Diet Kazaa works on Windows clients that have Kazaa Media Desktop installed. To use Diet Kazaa, users must run the application instead of KMD. If users attempt to launch KMD directly, or run ad removal programs like Ad-Aware on KMD after Diet Kazaa has already been installed, their KMD installation will be disabled.
