People flock to the annual SXSW Festval in Austin, TX (USA) each year for its high film and music entertainment value. This year's event featured an interesting new twist, a wireless hotspot service attached (literally) to some of the area's homeless population. A New York marketing company that does charitable work with the homeless came up with the idea as a way to generate income for these individuals while also helping festival-goers get online more easily. With all the news coverage and controversy these 4G-carrying homeless people have generated, don't be surprised to see even more creative hotspot setups in the future.
