One of our message board members recently posted to ask whether AT&T DSL or Time Warner cable offers the better broadband Internet service. In the U.S., DSL and cable have competed for customers for more than 10 years. Over the last decade both have generally increased their speed (bandwidth), dropped prices a bit, and hopefully improved their reliability and customer service along the way.

Outside the U.S., the providers names are different, and some countries have fewer options than others. But how much does it really matter? As long as you have broadband, aren't all the services basically about the same nowadays?
