When Was the Last Time You Saw a Binary Number?

Binary numbers are an essential element of computers and computer networks. Addresses, subnets, and encryption keys all are based on binary and/or hexadecimal numbering systems. You may not realize how often you encounter binary and hex in day-to-day computing tasks. If you take the time to learn a bit (heh) more about these numbering systems, you'll become more adept at configuring and maintaining networks.
