What is psyb0t?

According to security researchers at DroneBL, psyb0t is "the first known botnet based on exploiting consumer network devices." Instead of attacking your PC like computer worms do, psyb0t is specially designed to take over your broadband router and potentially use it to steal your personal information or attack other people's networks.

To guard your home network against psyb0t, ensure your router is There is no easy way to determine whether your router has been overrun by psyb0t. If your router is performing sluggishly and you cannot log into the administrative console, you may be a psyb0t victim. Power cycle your router and change its password to remove it.
