Hotel Internet Bandwidth Demand (and Hopefully, Capacity?) Growing

Friday January 2, 2009
It's no surprise that Internet use is growing at meetings of business travelers. Higher-end corporate hotels logically have been upping their network capacity by upgrading their equipment and Internet subscriptions. Smaller hotels, however, are more likely to still be relying on single T1 lines for their Internet pipe.

If you are using hotel Internet service that's performing poorly, don't assume your system is to blame, especially during peak activity hours of the early morning or evening. Instead, check with staff at your favorite hotels to verify whether they have sufficient network bandwidth available to support customer demand.
