The International Space Station Gets Wi-Fi

Saturday September 6, 2008
According to NASA, the International Space Station has recently been equipped with Wi-Fi networking. Note that this isn't Wi-Fi to the ground but rather just wireless local area network (WLAN) access within the Station. Still, its a cool accomplishment.

Many people have trouble getting their wireless network to extend more than a few hundred feet, but that won't stop some tech geeks out there who are now speculating on how they can sniff the ISS network from hundreds of miles away. (Good luck.)
