Major DNS Patch Made

The Internet Domain Name System (DNS) controls the translation of Web site names to network addresses. Without DNS, surfing the Web would not be possible. Even worse, if DNS were not working properly, you and your computer could be exposed to various technical and privacy issues.
This week, a major DNS flaw was quietly patched by industry vendors in an attempt to keep DNS reliable and safe. Though details are sparse, the scope of this issue could be the largest in the history of the Web.
