| Commentary | World-renowned networking company Cisco Systems acquired U.S. consumer product retailer Linksys several years ago, but this brand name for home network equipment has remained very popular. Now, indications from Cisco's top management re-affirm the Linksys brand will disappear, someday although details are sparse. This looks to be a normal business strategy discussion at this stage and nothing for consumers to be worried about. Those of you attached to the familiar blue-and-green aesthetic of Linksys gear may be in for a disappointment, though, someday.

This does concern me, greatly, why did “Linksys” sell me a new router just a month ago and hot tell me it would soon be antiquated or null and void?
