| Commentary | The University of Massachusetts TurtleNet wireless sensor network recently went online, servicing about a dozen wood turtles and utilizing Zigbee compatible gear. Princeton's ZebraNet project was another early pioneer in this space a few years ago. These academic research projects are good examples of the applications of wireless networking in nature conservation.
