| Commentary | Boeing's announcement last week to ditch WiFi in favor of wired connections is the latest in a series of setbacks for wireless networking on airplanes. In such a small enclosed space, the need for wireless isn't great. However, it means travelers on the Boeing 787 will now need to ensure they have Ethernet networking installed, which isn't an automatic nowadays.
