"You Might Not Have Permission to Use This Network"

| Discussion | From the message board - "I originally set up a (wired) network of two (Windows XP) computers and was able to share files and folders and share the printer. But now all of a sudden, I can't do any of it, I just get a message 'you might not have permission to use this network... The Network path was not found.'" Unfortunately, several different problems may be the culprit here. Join us to recommend a solution or share your frustration with the group.

and also look at the local security. Basically, when you set up a network using Microsoft’s “Create a Home Network” facility, it doesn’t work. There’s 100,000s of people complaining about this, and Microsoft has offered no help.
