Is Pay-As-You-Go Broadband a Good Idea?

| Commentary | Telecommunications companies are apparently strongly considering the idea of charging broadband Internet consumers variable amounts based on the network bandwidth they use, instead of charging flat monthly rates. As reported in this piece from the Wall Street Journal, as little as 1% of Internet subscribers may be generating up to 40% of the network traffic.
