Using VoIP With Cable Internet

| Discussion | One way to hook up VoIP phone service is through your cable Internet service. However, some older cable modems may not work well with VoIP service, leading to garbled voices and dropped calls. Fortunately our message board members have been discussing solutions for these and related issues with using VoIP and cable modems.

I cannot get a dial tone using my VOIP with my cable service
how can i make it work?When I was on dsl I could get a dial tone and it worked great. now that i have switched to cable I cannot get a dial tone. any suggestions?
