Navizon Wireless Positioning System
Friday October 7, 2005
| Commentary | If you own a Pocket PC handheld device, Navizon's Wireless Positioning System may be for you. Navizon's software application supports either WiFi- or cellular-based location determination by maintaining a database of the known physical positions of wireless access points and cell towers. Additionally, Navizon supports a kind of darknet where your position information can be carefully shared with other Navizon Global Network subscribers. Overall, this service could be a nice add-on tool for those who regularly use a Global Positioning System (GPS) device.
