China Launches Largest IPv6 Network

| Commentary | The People's Republic of China has successfully deployed the first pure production IPv6 network. Besides supporting the 128-bit IP addressing model of the future, this network also boasts extremely high speeds ranging from 2.5 Gb/s up to 40 Gb/s. It's little surprise this advance happened in PRC, where the shortage of IPv4 address space is felt much more acutely than in the USA.
