Asian Nations to Join Forces on IPv6 Development?
Tuesday December 30, 2003
| Commentary | A Japanese newspaper is reporting that Japan, People's Republic of China, and South Korea plan to join forces in large-scale investment for IPv6. This effort would likely include powerhouse Asian technology firms like NTT, Fujitsu, NEC, and Samsung, among others. Should this joint-development project materialize, look for adoption of IPv6 to accelerate much faster than currently planned, due to increased competition between Asia and the USA in driving networking standards.
