| Commentary| The southern California city of Cerritos, population approximately 50,000, is set to build an open, city-wide Wi-Fi system starting in January. Lacking any broadband infrastructure, residents have been relegated to either dial-up or to expensive satellite Internet service that is generally slower than cable/DSL offerings.
